1. What is the local impact your organization has achieved regarding your selected SDG? (No Word Limit)

The Act4Global Impact digital project is making a very significant and effective contribution to the advancement of SDG 17, devoted to partnerships for achieving the sustainable development goals, but also to the implementation of the other 16 SDGs, since its didactic methodology incorporates them all, right down to the 169 sub-goals. Our R&D work has focused on the scientific analysis of solutions/initiatives (over 1,000 referenced to date) and potential partners on a global scale, with a particular emphasis on cross-sectoral cooperation, involving businesses (of all sizes), NGOs and public institutions. This holistic and systemic approach allows for the visibility and mobilization of countless resources, while fostering powerful cross-sector synergies by bringing together entities that would have had little chance of connecting outside the Act4Global Impact portal. We plan to further enhance our semantic search engine with AI algorithms, in order to encourage serendipity which is essential for amplifying and spreading best innovative practices in sustainable development on a global scale and for the long term. At a local level, Act4Global Impact engages with communities through a range of initiatives, such as awareness-raising and training projects to help organizations understand and learn about global issues, boost their own creativity and collective intelligence, so they can better define their priorities to build their Agenda 2030 roadmap. Act4Global Impact also offers companies a service for referencing and promoting their solutions and expertise to facilitate the ecological and societal transformation of as many organizations as possible. Act4Global Impact works according to the Glocal concept, linking local players with international partners (over 2,700 referenced to date) to improve their regenerative impact on a given territory. For example, by taking advantage of new technologies and/or innovative solutions, these actors of change help to solve problems linked to a wide range of sustainability issues, such as mitigating and adapting to the effects of climate change, food security, combating all kinds of pollutions (microplastics, pesticides, the nitrogen and phosphorus cycle (eutrophication)) and social equity at local level. By experimenting with these solutions, they accelerate their optimization and encourage their adoption on a wider scale.

2. What is the global impact your organization has achieved regarding your selected SDG? (No Word Limit)

Since its launch, Act4Global Impact (A4GI) has made a significant global impact under SDG 17 as the platform emphasizes multi-sectoral partnerships, facilitating collaborations between businesses, governments, and civil society to promote sustainability worldwide. By providing a robust ecosystem search engine, A4GI has yet interconnected over 2,700 organizations, fostering partnerships across industries and regions. These partnerships enable the dissemination of sustainable solutions and practices that align with the 17 UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. A4GI’s global approach encourages knowledge sharing, technology transfer, and the mobilization of financial resources, making impactful contributions towards achieving SDG 17.

3. What is the scalability of your innovation and how do you plan to achieve it? (No Word Limit)

Act4Global Impact (A4GI) offers scalable sustainable solutions by providing access to vast databases of innovative worldwide initiatives and partnerships. The scalability of A4GI lies in its ability to leverage technology and networks to address sustainability challenges on a global scale. The platform is developing its “ecosystem search engine”, to connect businesses and organizations to sustainable solutions that align with the SDGs. Its scalability strategy is built around the following key elements for which we are looking for investors : ► Technology infrastructure : The platform intends to use advanced algorithms to semi-automate the information monitoring and AI-driven search capabilities (including Data mapping) to continuously expand its database of sustainable development initiatives. This provides a dynamic and growing repository of solutions that users can access on a global scale. ► Team organization : we plan to create a team of at least 5 people (CEO, Marketing/Sales Director, Data scientist, Sales administration and junior consultant) ► Global networks and partnerships : A4GI aims to grow by expanding its community of contributors and users. By developing this network and fostering collaborations, the platform will be able to increase its reach across different sectors and geographies. ► Impact-driven growth : the platform is adopting a similar model to other social impact businesses, focusing on combining social and environmental impact with sustainable finance, which will find there many promising initiatives to support. By maintaining this dual focus, A4GI will be able to grow effectively while achieving its sustainability goals ► Using intermediaries : Like many successful impact initiatives, A4GI uses intermediaries, through a process licensing (IP protection), to improve performance and connect diverse organizations. This approach enables effective scaling without necessarily increasing the size of the organization. Thanks to these complementary strategies, Act4Global Impact plans to expand its activities while continuing to support companies and organizations in their sustainable development initiatives.

4. What is your organization’s unique strategy for using technology to achieve your selected SDG? (150 Words Limit)

Act4Global Impact leverages advanced technology to drive partnerships and sustainability through its unique ecosystem search engine. This platform connects organizations with engaged partners and sustainable solutions tailored to their specific needs, aligned with SDG 17 by fostering collaboration across sectors and regions. Using AI tools offering cutting-edge data management, as powerful semantic search algorithms, A4GI enables users to discover operational initiatives focused on environmental, social and economic sustainability (correlated to the 17 SDG’s and their 169 sub-targets), thereby leading to systemic change at large scale. The platform's ability to integrate and analyze global data, combined with its emphasis on collaborative networks, positions it as a crucial tool for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

5. What challenges did you encounter while working for your selected SDG, and how did you address them? (150 Words Limit)

Act4Global Impact has encountered several challenges in promoting sustainable partnerships, in particular the resistance of organizations to abandoning silo structures. Until now, most companies have limited themselves to peripheral actions in terms of social responsibility, without really questioning their core business model. A4GI's ecosystemic search engine, which breaks with this approach, has sometimes raised questions about its business model. However, the entry into force of the CSRD regulation in January 2024 is changing the situation. This regulatory framework now requires companies to document and justify sustainable transformation actions, paving the way for wider adoption of the ActGlobal Impact methodology, which promotes transformative partnerships in line with SDG 17.

6. How did you engage local communities and stakeholders in your work, and what was their feedback? (150 Words Limit)

Since its inception, we have actively promoted the Act4Global Impact approach through numerous webinars and conferences, sparking enthusiastic responses from participants. Many testimonials are available on our website. The platform's versatile applications cater to both public and private sectors, making it highly appealing to a wide range of stakeholders. To further its development, we have engaged with various organizations, including French institutions such as ADEME and BPI, private companies, sustainable finance players, and consultancies to co-create awareness programs and training initiatives. We have also collaborated with associations like Cleantech Open France, which focus on start-up ecosystems, and engaged with schools and journalists to develop media content around the platform. Additionally, we are in discussions with AI experts and serious game designers to incorporate innovative simulations based on our methodology. These partnerships are progressing well, and we anticipate forming impactful collaborations soon.

8. In your view what roles do businesses, governments, and civil society should play in achieving the SDGs, and how can they collaborate effectively? (150 Words Limit)

Businesses, governments, and civil society each play vital roles in achieving the SDGs. Governments establish laws and regulations that drive sustainability efforts and ensure accountability, such as France's Duty of Vigilance law. Businesses innovate and implement sustainable practices, often in collaboration with public and private partners to tackle large-scale challenges. Civil society, including NGOs and associations, advocates for environmental and social justice, raising awareness and pushing for change. Effective collaboration involves leveraging each sector's strengths, fostering partnerships, and working collectively towards systemic transformation. By integrating efforts and sharing knowledge, these stakeholders can accelerate progress towards the SDGs.
