1. What is the local impact your organization has achieved regarding your selected SDG? (No Word Limit)

Trivium Packaging has made significant local impacts in alignment with SDG 12. Here are some key highlights: • Trivium Packaging has adopted an integrated approach to environmental management, which includes regular internal reviews and compliance checks. Each facility has dedicated environmental representatives trained to uphold the company’s environmental standards. This holistic approach ensures that all aspects of environmental impact are addressed. • In terms of water management, Trivium Packaging has implemented measures to reduce water use in its rinsing equipment and ensure that supply is cut off when not in use. We have established an employee awareness campaign, including signage, posters, and a leak reporting process. The goal is to reduce water consumption by 10% compared to the 2020 baseline. • Trivium Packaging has conducted training sessions to promote circularity and recycling for our employees, our suppliers as well as our customers.

2. What is the global impact your organization has achieved regarding your selected SDG? (No Word Limit)

The SBTi approved our targets, we set bold targets of significantly cutting our carbon footprint (42% Scope 1 and 2, 25% Scope 3), and since last year we are also committed to net-zero by 2050, reducing water use by 10%, eliminating landfill waste, and using 100% green energy. We partner with leading organizations (UNGC, WBCSD) and are on track to achieve these commitments. We are proud to be the first metal packaging company that made the CDP A-list on Climate Action. CDP also placed Trivium on the 2023 Supplier Engagement Leaderboard, which is awarded based on a company’s governance, targets, Scope 3 emissions, and value chain engagement. Meanwhile, EcoVadis awarded us a Platinum rating for the third year in a row, despite having raised the threshold in 2023. This means Trivium was among the top 1% of 100,000 companies assessed during the year – another achievement of which we are extremely proud.

3. What is the scalability of your innovation and how do you plan to achieve it? (No Word Limit)

Driven by innovation, our R&D and sustainability teams collaborate to ensure that 80% of our new products meet eco-design standards. Our Ecodesign program is one of the key components of our sustainability strategy, focusing on reducing material use (lightweight designs), reusing materials, and increasing the recycled content in our products. Here are some highlights from the program: • Circular Economy: We m emphasizes the principles of the circular economy by promoting the use of infinitely recyclable metal packaging. The Ecodesign program is implemented for all new product development, ensuring that sustainability is incorporated from the very beginning. • Lightweight Design: One of the projects under the Ecodesign program involved reducing the thickness of Easy Open Ends (EOE), a primary closure used for cans. The thickness was reduced by 16% for those with a 0.99 mm diameter, resulting in a 14% reduction in carbon emissions. This project alone is expected to save 135 tonnes of CO2 by the end of 2024. • Environmental Management: Trivium has adopted an integrated approach to environmental management, which includes regular internal reviews and compliance checks. Each facility has dedicated environmental representatives trained to uphold the company’s environmental standards. This holistic approach ensures that all aspects of environmental impact are addressed. • Sustainability from the Drawing Board: Trivium embraces Ecodesign as an integral component of its new sustainability strategy. This means incorporating sustainability into plans right from the drawing board, building products intended to have a minimal carbon footprint from the outset. These efforts have earned us recognition from various global awards, including the iF Design Awards and PAC Global Awards.
